If you are looking to start a business in Arizona, you must decide, with the assistance of an attorney or other expert, what kind of entity you will function as: corporation, limited Liability company, a partnership, or a proprietorship.


Anyone looking to register a corporation or limited liability company Arizona, must go through the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC).  To register a partnership - general or limited liability, you must do this with the Arizona Secretary of State.  


Additionally, some foreign entities that wish to do business in Arizona must also register with the Secretary of State or Corporation Commission - based on the entity type.
